About the service

CVdesign is a free web service that lets individuals create, edit and share CVs. We have no commercial interests or advertising – the service is not funded by users or third parties.

§ 2

Use of the service

To use CVdesign you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Provide a correct email address at registration
  • Not use the service for illegal purposes or spread false information
  • Not misuse APIs, bypass security or load the system abnormally
  • Only upload content you have the right to use
  • Not copy, scrape, automatically harvest data from, or attempt to reproduce or reverse-engineer the service

The service – its design, source code, texts and the «CVdesign» trademark – belongs to Nexvuo AS and is protected by copyright. The content you create is yours, but the platform itself may not be copied, resold or imitated without written consent.

§ 3

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or enter. We claim no license or rights to CVs, profile photos or anything else you add.

You are responsible for the content of your CV. CVdesign is not responsible for errors, inaccuracies or consequences of the content being shared further.
§ 4

AI features

The service uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI to help with fill-in, translation and analysis. Data sent to the AI service is not used for training (Azure's "no training" policy).

AI can make mistakes – always check the suggestions before using them.

§ 5

Privacy and data storage

All personal data is stored in Microsoft Azure, region Norway East. See our privacy policy for details on which data we collect and how we process it.

§ 6

Availability

We strive for high uptime, but give no guarantee that the service is always available.

We reserve the right to update, change or temporarily shut down the service without notice – typically for maintenance or security updates.

§ 7

Account closure

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When the account is deleted, all data is removed within 24 hours – including CVs, versions, share links and statistics.

Backup copies may exist for up to 14 days before permanent deletion.

We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms, send spam, or load the system in a way that affects other users.
§ 8

Limitation of liability

CVdesign is free – and provided without any liability beyond what Norwegian law requires. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost earnings, or consequences of you not getting the job you applied for.

§ 9

Changes to terms

We may change these terms. Significant changes are announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the changes constitutes acceptance.

§ 10

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Norwegian law.

Any disputes are sought resolved amicably via post@cvdesign.no. The venue is Oslo District Court.
